Director of Team Sales
Momentous is a sports nutrition company driven by science, transparency, and a desire to raise the bar in sports supplementation. We engineer and distribute safe supplements, catered to the athlete who seeks high performance in every aspect of their life. Founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming by a group of athletes who wanted to make the best sports nutrition products available. We are funded by an experienced team of investors with deep ties to the world of professional sports.
We are looking for someone to manage our team relationships, reporting to our VP of Sales, who is passionate about life, cares about nutrition and can walk the walk and talk the talk with professional, collegiate, and elite training center coaches, dietitians and athletes. Ownership of NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and NCAA partnerships with growth into other sports, retail and international envisioned in the next 2 years.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for building relationships with professional teams, colleges and universities, coaches, trainers and dietitians to sell our products on a long term basis. You’ll focus on growing our team sales revenue in NCAA and other categories and satisfying customers’ needs and requests. You aspire to deliver the best quality products with a one of a kind customer experience. You are a great fit, if you know the world we live in, have excellent communication and negotiating skills, and have a customer first attitude.
Duties:
- Build and manage relationships for the Momentous
- Negotiate and close new opportunities and drive a highly successful sales process
- Scout new sales opportunities, meet sales objectives and growth goals
- Generate new business using your existing network and grow network rapidly
- Develop strong relationships with customers and be the key point of contact for all needs
- Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
- Report on the status of accounts and transactions
- Set and track sales account targets that are aligned with company objectives
- Monitor sales metrics
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Be the key point of contact and execution owner for league, collegiate trade shows and events
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
- Collaborate with marketing team on partnership, athlete introductions and projects
- Collaborate with executive team on market feedback, new product development and cultivating a strong team of performance engineers
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of team sales experience, preferably in food or supplements
- Knowledge and passion for sports and sports nutrition
- Knowledge and understanding of the pro, collegiate and the training center world
- Strong existing relationships with dietitians, trainers and coaches
- Great written and verbal communication and follow-up skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced/entrepreneurial environment a plus
- Works remotely very effectively
- Highly collaborative, responsive and hard working
- Detail oriented and able to follow proven sale methodology
- Retail and international experience a plus
